Swisscom has claimed victory in connect’s broadband and fixed network test for the fourth consecutive year. The company secured the top spot in the “national provider” category, reaffirming its position as the leading provider. This achievement is a result of Swisscom’s continuous expansion of its fiber-optic network and its commitment to meeting customer needs.
Swisscom continues to set the standard for network quality. This year, the specialist magazine connect has reaffirmed that Swisscom provides the best broadband network in Switzerland. With a remarkable score of 982 out of 1,000 points, Swisscom retained its position as the leading national provider and was honored for its exceptional performance.
The test methodology this year once again employed crowdsourcing, assessing the real-world performance and quality experienced by customers through data collected from their smartphones and tablets. The evaluation focused on download and upload speeds, latency, and stability. According to connect, “Swisscom excels nationwide at the highest level of competition.” The magazine also noted that Swiss broadband and fixed-line networks were assessed in both “national” and “regional” categories, with Swiss networks standing out in comparison to those in Germany and Austria.
Swisscom’s commitment to expanding its ultra-fast fibre-optic network continues. The company is actively working to enhance broadband capabilities, aiming to provide as many customers as possible with access to the fastest FTTH connections. By the end of 2025, Swisscom plans to increase its fibre-optic coverage (FTTH) to approximately 57%, with a goal of reaching 75-80% by 2030. This accolade underscores that Swisscom’s dedication to broadband expansion is yielding impressive results, ensuring its customers receive the best network experience.
