Singtel and GMI Cloud Expand GPU Capacity in US and Asia Pacific for AI Growth

Singtel and GMI Cloud, a leading AI-native GPU cloud platform, have announced a strategic partnership to enhance GPU capacity across the US and Asia Pacific. This collaboration will integrate the GPU resources and infrastructure of both companies, expanding high-performance computing access for enterprises and broadening the availability of GPUs.

GMI Cloud’s advanced GPU platform, known for its high efficiency and cost-effectiveness, will be combined with Singtel’s Paragon orchestration platform to utilize Singtel’s NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs based in Singapore. Singtel is set to launch its GPU-as-a-Service later this year and is expanding its Nxera data centers in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. These facilities, equipped with cutting-edge NVIDIA GPUs, are designed to handle demanding AI workloads efficiently and sustainably.

“Partnering with GMI Cloud enhances our GPU capacity and expands availability zones in Asia Pacific, complementing our existing GPUaaS infrastructure. This collaboration provides enterprises with the scalability and flexibility needed to leverage supercomputing power and drive innovation,” said Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel Digital InfraCo & Nxera.

Alex Yeh, CEO of GMI Cloud, remarked, “This partnership with Singtel is a major step in democratizing AI infrastructure across Asia Pacific. GMI Cloud’s scalable, telecom-optimized GPU solutions complement Singtel’s extensive network. Our combined expertise and flexible deployment models will support the telecommunications industry’s AI initiatives, accelerating AI adoption and driving regional innovation.”

This collaboration builds on Singtel’s previous partnerships with GPU cloud platforms Vultr in the US and Nscale in Europe, offering customers greater geographic flexibility and robust infrastructure support. Singtel also recently announced a partnership with Bridge Alliance, enhancing its GPUaaS offerings for enterprises across Southeast Asia.
