Adtran announced that Pulse Fibre has chosen its 10Gbit/s XGS-PON fiber access platform for the next phase of its network expansion. Pulse Fibre, which focuses on new housing developments, will offer Gigabit and multigigabit services with symmetrical speeds up to 10Gbit/s to over 250,000 homes across rural and urban areas. This advanced network will also enable Pulse Fibre to provide early-stage connectivity for essential systems like EV chargers and security networks in new properties. The deployment utilizes Adtran’s scalable broadband technology, ensuring a flexible and future-proof network that can adapt to growing subscriber demands.
“This partnership with Adtran marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide fast, reliable broadband to new housing developments across the UK,” said Robert Buckingham, Operations Director at Pulse Fibre. “Adtran’s compact, energy-efficient technology allows us to offer connectivity during construction through our ‘Construction Mode,’ helping developers easily integrate smart infrastructure. For residents, we deliver immediate connectivity, supporting remote work and smart home needs, while also meeting our sustainability goals for a greener, resource-efficient future.”
Pulse Fibre’s new solution is expanding high-speed connectivity to an increasing number of UK households. It features Adtran’s advanced optical network terminals (ONTs) and software-defined optical line terminals (OLTs), all managed through the Mosaic Cloud Platform (Mosaic CP). The Adtran SDX 6320 OLT simplifies Pulse Fibre’s service expansion across diverse environments, from rural areas to urban centers, with a strong focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. Mosaic CP offers intelligent, programmable network management, accelerating service activation, reducing operational complexity, and maximizing profitability by shortening the revenue cycle.
“We’re thrilled to support Pulse Fibre’s rapid growth,” said Stuart Broome, GM of EMEA Sales at Adtran. “Our solutions are designed for fast deployment and comprehensive network management, helping Pulse Fibre deliver reliable, high-speed internet to more subscribers. Our technology supports current demands for streaming and gaming, while future-proofing the network for long-term scalability. This enhances the digital experience for customers and promotes economic growth and innovation in the communities Pulse Fibre serves.”
