Gozio, a leading customizable, location-aware mobile engagement platform, has released survey findings from 100 healthcare leaders, highlighting their perspectives on digital transformation, efforts to digitize patient experiences, and challenges in streamlining care.
“Mobile access to care is a competitive differentiator among health systems. Gozio is dedicated to supporting these efforts with a fully integrated digital platform that reduces fragmentation and enhances the patient experience,” said Joshua Titus, CEO and founder of Gozio Health.
Key Findings:
- 82% of participants with dedicated mobile platforms (67%) are only somewhat satisfied with their effectiveness.
- 80% believe their current digital solutions for patient self-management are only somewhat effective.
- 78% expect budgets for patient experience technologies to increase in the next 12 months.
- 52% plan to invest in mobile engagement platforms, and 73% in AI chatbots over the next year.
Conducted in collaboration with WBR Insights and Next Generation Patient Experience (NGPX), the survey included healthcare leaders from the U.S. and Canada.
As patients expect more from digital offerings, organizations prioritize adopting virtual health solutions. However, the survey reveals that healthcare leaders see significant room for improvement, particularly in patient access and staff productivity.
Notably, 60% of respondents cited integrating technology with existing systems as a primary challenge, while 31% highlighted secure communication with providers as a major inconvenience for patients. These findings underscore the need for customizable, open mobile platforms, given that nearly all consumers prefer a single digital solution for managing their healthcare.
“It’s encouraging to see healthcare leaders prioritize digital solutions as vital tools for improving patient engagement,” said Titus. The respondents agree that a seamless digital patient journey is crucial for better outcomes and satisfaction. Their top strategies for enhancing patient experiences include expanding digital support and education, offering remote check-in, and incorporating AI and virtual reality features.
