AIS has announced that Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service, Max, will be available to AIS subscribers in Thailand starting November 19, 2024. This partnership reinforces AIS’s position as the leading OTT hub in Thailand, offering a diverse range of entertainment from both local and international sources on the country’s top-rated network. Max will provide a new streaming experience in the region, featuring blockbuster films, hit series, and iconic content from renowned brands such as HBO, the DC Universe, Harry Potter, Max Originals, Cartoon Network, and more. Additionally, fans can access exclusive programming from Discovery, AFN, and Hollywood’s finest content, all in one platform.
Starting on November 19, AIS customers’ HBO GO subscriptions will automatically transition to Max Standard, providing an upgraded streaming experience. The platform offers personalized recommendations, intuitive search features, genre-based browsing, and brand-specific content hubs. Max Standard will also support streaming on two devices simultaneously and allow viewing across multiple platforms, including TVs. Users can download up to 30 titles for offline viewing.
Current AIS mobile and AIS 3BB Fibre3 Fixed-Broadband subscribers with HBO GO, PLAY PREMIUM PLUS, or PLAY XL packages can continue to access premium channels—HBO, HBO Signature, HBO HITS, HBO Family, and Cinemax—via AIS PLAY, AIS PLAYBOX, and 3BB GIGATV without interruption.
Rungtip Jarusiripipat, Head of AIS PLAY, expressed excitement about the partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, emphasizing the launch of Max as a transformative addition to Southeast Asia’s entertainment landscape. “Customers will soon enjoy Max on Thailand’s No.1 network, both 5G and Fixed-Broadband, which offers nationwide coverage. As the largest OTT hub in Thailand, we provide a variety of content to cater to all demographics—from movies and series to variety shows and family-friendly programming,” she said.
Max’s upcoming content lineup includes highly anticipated titles such as Dune: Prophecy, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight (a Game of Thrones prequel), the Harry Potter series, new seasons of House of the Dragon and The White Lotus, and The Last of Us.
Tony Qiu, GM of Greater China and Southeast Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery, added, “AIS has been a long-standing partner of Warner Bros. Discovery, and we are excited to bring beloved, culture-defining content to more fans in Thailand as we launch Max across Southeast Asia.”
