CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) has unveiled its cutting-edge CelcomDigi AI Experience Centre (AiX) today, marking a milestone in immersive innovation and collaboration. Positioned as a hub for advancing digital solutions across various sectors, AiX is supported by a broad ecosystem of global technology leaders and local partners.
AiX integrates emerging technologies such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR), Robotics, Analytics, and Metaverse to foster cross-industry collaborations. This collaborative environment aims to accelerate technological advancements, nurture new digital enterprises, and cultivate future skills critical for Malaysia’s digital transformation.
Officially launched by Minister of Communications YB Fahmi Fadzil, AiX offers visitors a sensory-rich experience combining sight, sound, and touch. It showcases real-world solutions ready for immediate deployment and is designed for ongoing evolution and partnership. The centre will continuously refresh its technology and exhibits to introduce new experiences and facilitate rapid experimentation and development of technology solutions.
CelcomDigi CEO Datuk Idham Nawawi emphasized the strategic importance of AiX in driving Malaysia’s digital progress: “The AI Experience Centre embodies our commitment to leveraging advanced technologies like AI to propel Malaysia towards becoming a thriving digital nation. He further added, “AiX underscores the importance of a robust innovation ecosystem in nurturing a digital society. In this era of rapid digital transformation, speed and collaboration are crucial. With strong partnerships and continuous evolution at its core, AiX aims to accelerate the co-creation of high-potential use cases, ensuring Malaysia benefits from the advancements in 5G, AI, and other emerging technologies.”
Located at CelcomDigi Hub in Subang Jaya’s Hi-Tech Park, AiX features two main spaces: The Infinity and The Gallery. The Infinity offers immersive digital society simulations using state-of-the-art AV technology, while The Gallery showcases industrial use-cases demonstrating the transformative potential of technologies across eight verticals: manufacturing, logistics, energy, fleet, port, healthcare, education, and agritech. Notably, 13 of these solutions are actively piloted with Malaysian enterprises.
AiX introduces AI-RA, the first AI digital human and resident co-host, who interacts with visitors and explains the showcased use cases. Alongside AI-RA, autonomous robotics demonstrate tasks such as perimeter surveillance, goods delivery, entertainment, and personal assistance, highlighting the synergies between AI and robotics for enhancing convenience in various aspects of life.
The centre also offers a collaborative space serving as a live lab environment for startups, enterprises, academia, and government bodies to co-create, test, and validate solutions integrating 5G and other emerging technologies.
Supported by a robust ecosystem of 40 global technology leaders and local partners, AiX includes core partners like Huawei and ZTE, alongside collaborators such as AWS, Digital Nasional Berhad, Ericsson, Microsoft, SK Telecom, Softbank, Sumitomo, and Yinson.
AiX will open to visitors on a scheduled basis, inviting technology and business partners, academia, government agencies, and corporate organizations to explore immersive exhibits and participate in co-creation activities. Exhibits and use cases will be regularly updated to reflect the latest technological advancements and industry dynamics.
