CommScope Agrees to Sell Outdoor Wireless Networks and Distributed Antenna Systems Businesses to Amphenol Corporation

CommScope (NASDAQ: COMM), a prominent player in network connectivity worldwide, has announced a definitive agreement to sell its Outdoor Wireless Networks (OWN) segment and the Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) business unit within its Networking, Intelligent Cellular & Security Solutions segment to Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH). The transaction, valued at approximately USD $2.1 billion in cash, will be paid by Amphenol upon the deal’s closing. This sale is anticipated to finalize in the first half of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

This strategic move enables CommScope to sharpen its focus and enhance its CommScope NEXT priorities across its remaining segments and business units.” Treadway added, “We are confident that CommScope’s OWN and DAS businesses will continue to thrive under Amphenol’s leadership.”

OWN specializes in wireless infrastructure solutions for mobile networks, encompassing macro and small cell site solutions. Meanwhile, the DAS business offers cellular infrastructure solutions tailored for venues, campuses, and enterprises.
