Pony.ai’s European division held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony today with Emile Weber, a leading transportation provider in Luxembourg and the Greater Region, to advance the development of autonomous mobility in the Grand Duchy. This partnership aims to drive research, development, and deployment of autonomous vehicles in Luxembourg, building on a March 2024 MoU between Pony.ai and the Government of Luxembourg to promote autonomous mobility in the country.
Emile Weber, a key player in Luxembourg’s mobility sector, offers services in public and private transportation, taxi operations, vehicle rentals, and tourism. Both Pony.ai Europe and Emile Weber share the vision that autonomous mobility will play a pivotal role in the future of Luxembourg’s transport ecosystem.
This MoU marks another significant step in Pony.ai’s European expansion in 2024. In March, Pony.ai signed an MoU with the Luxembourg government to foster autonomous mobility, and by September 2024, it had officially established Pony.ai Europe, with Luxembourg serving as its European hub. This hub will focus on cutting-edge research and development, driving technological innovations tailored for the European market. Luxembourg’s position as a global leader in technology and innovation provides Pony.ai with a strategic opportunity to advance its autonomous mobility technologies in Europe.
