Ericsson and Wipro Redefine Odido’s Customer Billing Experience

Ericsson and Wipro Limited have successfully transformed the billing experience for all Odido brand mobile customers in the Netherlands by migrating to the cloud-native Ericsson Billing platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This upgrade enables Odido to offer cutting-edge 5G services, including the newly launched Klik&Klaar fixed-wireless access (FWA) solution, improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer experience.

“This migration marks a significant step in our strategy to deliver an outstanding customer experience. By partnering with Ericsson and Wipro, we have modernized our billing infrastructure, positioning us to capitalize on the growing demand for 5G services,” said Odido’s leadership.

The migration, completed in August 2024, transitioned 5 million customers over a single weekend. This follows a prior migration of 700,000 Ben MVNO users in November 2023, marking a critical milestone in Odido’s modernization journey. Now, all Odido mobile customers, both B2B and B2C, are served by Ericsson Billing, hosted on AWS.

Wipro, as an end-to-end system integrator, worked closely with Ericsson and Odido to design and implement the solution. This seamless integration into Odido’s IT landscape reduced technical debt, streamlined the customer journey, and lowered operational costs.
