As businesses in France continue adopting cloud technologies and remote work models, the need to defend against an increasing variety of cyber threats has become paramount. According to the 2024 ISG Provider Lens™ Cybersecurity – Solutions and Services report for France, enterprises are now seeking cybersecurity providers that can consolidate the best security tools into a single platform. This approach aims to simplify cybersecurity management and reduce reliance on multiple vendors.
“Technical security service providers are creating centralized platforms to streamline and integrate different security tools, offering clients a more comprehensive view of potential threats,” explains Julien Escribe, partner and head of ISG SEMEA.
One of the key advancements in cybersecurity is the use of Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR). DFIR services combine forensics with incident response to contain, prevent, and analyze cyberattacks. Initially reactive, these services are increasingly proactive, incorporating threat hunting, vulnerability testing, and security education, often powered by machine learning and AI.
Due to the complexity and expertise required for effective DFIR, many companies are turning to external providers instead of building in-house teams. “The rise of cloud adoption and remote work has heightened the need for businesses to safeguard against various cyber threats,” says Jan Erik Aase, partner and global leader of ISG Provider Lens Research. “DFIR services are crucial in modern security strategies.”
The report also highlights how French enterprises are adopting DevSecOps, embedding security earlier in the software development lifecycle.
The 2024 ISG report assesses 110 providers across eight cybersecurity categories, including Identity and Access Management, Security Service Edge, and Digital Forensics and Incident Response. Accenture, IBM, Orange Cyberdefense, Sopra Steria, and Thales lead in multiple categories, while companies like Deloitte, Capgemini, and Microsoft are recognized for their leadership in other areas.
