Nilesat Chooses Hughes JUPITER for Egypt Satellite Broadband

Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), a subsidiary of EchoStar (Nasdaq: SATS), has announced a significant partnership with Nilesat, a prominent satellite operator in the MENA region. Nilesat has selected Hughes’ state-of-the-art JUPITER™ System Gateway and will utilize Hughes JUPITER terminals for its Nilesat 301 satellite. This deployment is scheduled to commence in Q2 and is anticipated to be fully operational by the end of Q3 2024.

Expressing the strategic importance of this collaboration, Major General Sameh Katta, Chairman and CEO of Nilesat, stated, “Our vision at Nilesat is to set the standard for satellite services in the MENA region.
