Singtel and Nscale have announced a strategic partnership that will expand their GPU capacity across Europe and Southeast Asia. This collaboration is designed to address the increasing global demand for generative AI, high-performance computing, and data-intensive workloads.
Under the partnership, Singtel will utilize Nscale’s AMD and NVIDIA GPU resources in Europe to handle customer workloads in key markets. This will allow Singtel to meet high-volume demands and ensure excellent service, especially when additional capacity is required. In return, Nscale will access Singtel’s NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs in Southeast Asia for their customers’ needs, integrated through Singtel’s proprietary orchestration platform, Paragon. Additionally, Singtel’s regional data center division, Nxera, will support Nscale’s GPU capacity with its sustainable, AI-ready data centers as it expands in the region.
This alliance will enhance both companies’ GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offerings, providing customers with a broader geographic reach and robust infrastructure. The partnership is expected to increase the utilization of their GPU clusters.
Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel Digital InfraCo and Nxera, stated, “Our collaboration with Nscale will enable our customers to access high-performance GPU resources on demand, fostering innovation and efficiency. By leveraging our advanced data centers, we ensure quick and seamless access to GPU resources.”
Josh Payne, Founder and CEO of Nscale, added, “Nscale is building the global infrastructure backbone for generative AI. Our sustainable data centers and data center capacity pipeline position us to deliver scalable AI infrastructure worldwide. This partnership with Singtel provides customers with unparalleled access to high-performance and cost-effective AI compute resources.”
Singtel plans to launch its GPUaaS later this year, offering enterprises access to NVIDIA’s AI computing power to scale AI deployment efficiently. This initiative follows Singtel’s recent partnerships with Vultr in the US and Bridge Alliance in Southeast Asia.
Nscale’s partnership with Singtel is part of its broader strategy, which includes a recent agreement with Open Innovation AI to deliver 30,000 GPUs to the Middle East. Nscale has also acquired Kontena, a leader in high-density modular data centers and AI solutions, enhancing its ability to meet the growing demands of the generative AI market.
