Spectrum Internet® Now Available to 580 Homes and Small Businesses with Starting Speeds of 300 Mbps
This network expansion is part of Spectrum’s $5 billion, multiyear investment through the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) to bring broadband to rural areas.Spectrum, the nation’s leading rural internet provider*, has announced the launch of its Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV, and Voice services for 580 homes and small businesses in Harnett County, North Carolina. This expansion is part of Spectrum’s $5 billion Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) investment in underserved rural areas, which includes $1.2 billion from the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) RDOF auction.
Spectrum’s RDOF initiative will bring broadband access to 1.3 million customer locations across 24 states over the next several years. Additionally, the company has secured more than $700 million in state broadband expansion subsidies, allowing it to connect another 300,000 homes and businesses.
“Spectrum is delivering gigabit broadband to unserved communities in North Carolina and beyond through RDOF,” said Tim Williams, Vice President of Construction at Spectrum. “Our investment ensures that Harnett County residents and businesses now have access to high-quality broadband, mobile, TV, and voice services, backed by our skilled technicians and 100% U.S.-based customer service.”
High-Speed Broadband and Mobile Services
Spectrum Internet now provides speeds up to 1 Gbps, with starting speeds of 300 Mbps for homes and businesses. Spectrum Business Internet also offers speeds up to 1 Gbps, with 300 Mbps and 600 Mbps options.
