T-Mobile Empowers Nonprofit Organizations in Hawaii and Washington with $50,000 in Grants

T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) has reaffirmed its commitment to community support by donating a total of $50,000 to five nonprofit organizations in Hawaii and Washington. The beneficiaries include Ferndale Food Bank, Generating Hope, Habitat for Humanity Seattle–King & Kittitas Counties (SKKC), Maui Food Bank, and the Maui Strong Foundation. T-Mobile employees in these regions selected the organizations through the Difference Maker Award program, which acknowledges outstanding business performance areas across the company.

Making a Positive Impact

Ferndale Food Bank (Ferndale, Wash.)

Ferndale Food Bank focuses on distributing food to community members in need with dignity and respect, addressing the increased demand for support due to the lasting economic impact of COVID-19.

Sierra Cook, Co-Director of the Ferndale Food Bank, expressed gratitude, stating, “These funds will go directly to providing that need for folks. It would not be possible without the support of amazing community partners like T-Mobile.”

Generating Hope (Wapato, Wash.)

Generating Hope provides shelter, support services, and community outreach to address housing insecurity and homelessness in and around the Wapato area on the Yakama Nation.

A former resident and Noah’s Ark Intern shared, “Noah’s Ark has helped me heal and recover my life and continues to help me stay and live recovered.”

Habitat for Humanity Seattle – King & Kittitas Counties (SKKC) (Renton, Wash.)

Habitat for Humanity (SKKC) builds, repairs, and preserves affordable housing, serving nearly 900 residents every year through programs such as homeownership, home repairs, homeowner education, and Habitat stores.

Brett D’Antonio, CEO of Habitat for Humanity SKKC, expressed gratitude for T-Mobile’s $10,000 donation, emphasizing its impact on critical structural repairs.

Maui Food Bank (Maui, Hawaii)

Maui Food Bank collects and distributes food through community partnerships, distributing over 4.5 million pounds of safe, nutritious food each year, including 800,000 pounds of fresh produce.

Marlene Rice, Development Director of Maui Food Bank, highlighted T-Mobile’s significant contribution, stating, “We are deeply grateful for T-Mobile’s contribution in providing hunger relief to those in need.”

Maui Strong Foundation (Maui, Hawaii)

The Maui Strong Foundation, part of the Hawaii Community Foundation, supports short and long-term recovery needs for people and places affected by the devastating Maui wildfires.

T-Mobile’s Ongoing Commitment

These donations reflect T-Mobile’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities throughout Hawaii and Washington. The Un-carrier has initiated programs like Hometown Grants and HQ Grants to contribute to small towns’ improvement projects and address digital connectivity challenges in the Seattle area. Project 10Million, a $10.7 billion initiative, aims to close the digital divide in education by offering free internet connectivity to eligible student households.
