As the world of work and education rapidly evolves, spaces for learning, working, and socializing have become more vital. According to the Harvard Business Review, even brief encounters can drive innovation, highlighting the importance of environments that foster collaboration and creativity.
True Space, part of True’s Ecosystem, is more than just a co-working area. It offers learning opportunities, skill development, and growth for students, startups, and Thai SMEs. Since its inception, True Space has played a key role in nurturing innovation and collaboration, especially for young entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The Origin of True Space
True Space was established in 2019 to provide students with a space for studying, working, and knowledge-sharing. Located near major universities, including Mahidol, Rangsit, and Srinakharinwirot, its seven branches offer flexible workspaces, meeting rooms, and event areas. Head of True Space, Nuanphan Boonpuean, explained that True Space aims to create a community of future professionals who will continue to benefit from its services as they enter the workforce. Students can access these spaces through partnerships with universities or by becoming members.
True Space Asoke and the Birth of the SWU Sandbox Club
True Space’s Asoke branch, across from Srinakharinwirot University, became the hub for the SWU Sandbox Club, founded by students from the university’s Faculty of Economics. After participating in Startup Thailand League 2023, the students saw potential in their peers’ ideas and wanted to create a club to develop new startups. Launched in early 2024, the SWU Sandbox Club now has over 100 members and collaborates with the university on various entrepreneurial initiatives.
A Space for Modern Learning
In today’s digital age, students need spaces that support new ways of learning. True Space offers the necessary facilities, such as power outlets, ergonomic seating, and an open, bright atmosphere. Unlike libraries or noisy coffee shops, True Space provides an ideal setting for focused study, group meetings, and collaborative projects.
Expanding to SMEs and Startups
True Space is now broadening its focus to include SMEs and startups, offering Private Offices, Co-working Spaces, and event spaces for business development. By partnering with organizations like the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP), True Space plays a vital role in Thailand’s Startup Ecosystem.
Adapting to Change
Despite changing work patterns and increased competition, True Space has continued to grow by offering flexible work solutions, building communities, and providing exclusive member benefits. The adaptability of its spaces, such as transforming the Asoke branch’s second floor into a workspace for a world-class airline, showcases its flexibility in meeting diverse needs.
True Space remains a crucial part of Thailand’s entrepreneurial landscape, helping students, startups, and SMEs thrive in a dynamic and evolving world.
