Women in Technology (WIT) Unveils 2024-2025 Board of Directors

Women in Technology (WIT), the leading organization dedicated to the advancement and success of professional women in the Washington, D.C. metro area technology community, has announced its 2024-2025 Board of Directors. WIT’s leadership focuses on serving the educational, professional, and personal needs of women in the technology industry through interactive programming and inspiring connections. This organization is committed to advancing women from the classroom to the boardroom.

Taking over from Immediate Past President Julie Murphy is Lisa Shea Mundt, Co-Founder of The Pulse of GovCon, a research and advisory firm that empowers government contractors. Mundt brings over a decade of experience in federal proposal development, procurement trend analysis, and reporting. She has supported more than 200 proposal efforts, resulting in billions of dollars in wins across various government agencies and departments. Mundt, who led WIT’s Accelerate(her) program, received the WIT President’s Award in 2022 for her commitment and contributions to the organization. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Writing and Rhetoric from George Mason University and serves on the board of James Madison University’s Federal Dukes alumni chapter.

“I’m thrilled to step into this role to help further our mission to advance women in technology. As the previous leader of WIT’s Accelerate(her) program, I’ve already witnessed firsthand the importance of women-led professional development, mentorship, and networking programs for our more than 1,000 members,” said Mundt. “WIT is committed to strengthening these valuable resources for women in the D.C. metro area, especially in a time when new technology frontiers like generative AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing shake up the industry. It is through these initiatives that we will ensure women’s ongoing inclusion in all areas of technology and industry leadership.”

Women in Technology’s leadership is comprised of a dedicated team of professional women committed to empowering women to be architects of change in the technology industry.
