Zain KSA is embarking on a significant investment of SAR 1.6 billion to bolster its infrastructure, 5G network, and digital services ecosystem. This strategic move is part of a comprehensive expansion initiative aimed at advancing digital inclusion throughout the Kingdom and fostering an advanced digital infrastructure to deliver optimal customer experiences.
With a focused approach on targeted investments, Zain KSA is set to extend its 5G network from covering 66 cities to encompassing 122 cities and governorates across Saudi Arabia, including prominent areas like Makkah and the Holy Sites. Remarkably, Zain KSA will become the pioneer in providing full 5G coverage at the Holy Sites through all its towers.
The expansion plan envisages enveloping over 66% of the Kingdom’s populated area with 5G services, resulting in a network of more than 7,000 sites nationwide. Notably, approximately 45% of the investment will bolster next-generation technologies, augmenting network capacity and facilitating higher speeds with unprecedented response times. This technological leap will not only deliver an unparalleled digital experience for individuals but also empower enterprises to align with the demands of Industry 4.0, fostering the development of smart cities.
Moreover, this initiative underscores Zain KSA’s commitment to supporting the digital requirements of the Pilgrims Experience Program, with the aim of accommodating 30 million Umrah performers by 2030. By enhancing network capacity and responsiveness, Zain KSA seeks to ensure that pilgrims have an exceptional digital experience that complements their spiritual and cultural journey.
