As Videotron and Freedom Mobile continue their expansion across Canada, Quebecor’s President and CEO, Pierre Karl Péladeau, is pleased to announce new appointments for two distinguished members of the management team. Effective immediately, Jean-François Lescadres has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of both Videotron and Freedom Mobile, while Jean B. Péladeau assumes the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
Jean-François Lescadres
Jean-François Lescadres brings extensive experience from his tenure at Quebecor since 2003 to his new role overseeing finance at Videotron and Freedom Mobile. He will also be responsible for managing the Retail Network. Known for his motivational leadership, Mr. Lescadres has been instrumental in Videotron’s strong performance and value creation, with a keen focus on cost management. His strategic planning expertise has driven several key projects at Videotron, including the launch of wireless telephony, the expansion of the retail network, and the recent acquisition of Freedom Mobile.
Jean B. Péladeau
Jean B. Péladeau has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Videotron and Freedom Mobile. In this role, he will leverage his strategic expertise to lead the marketing efforts for Videotron, Videotron Business, Fizz, and Freedom products, as well as to enhance customer loyalty across Canada. His new responsibilities complement his current oversight of Freedom Mobile’s digital marketing, customer experience, and branding teams.
Since joining Quebecor and its subsidiaries in 2010, Jean has developed a deep understanding of telecommunications, advertising, and digital performance. As Vice President of Operational Convergence since 2021, he has been responsible for steering priority multi-sector strategies.
