Spectrum Enterprise, a division of Charter Communications, Inc., has completed a fiber network expansion and technology upgrade at Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. This initiative enhances the resort’s guest experience with high-speed managed WiFi access across its 600-acre property and improved TV options for its 1,174 lodging units, including hotel rooms, condos, and cabins.
Joe Eck, Chief Operating Officer at Wilderness Resort, stated, “Meeting and exceeding guest expectations is our priority. Today’s guests expect connectivity everywhere—from guestrooms to restaurants to waterparks. Partnering with Spectrum Enterprise for five-star WiFi service allows us to focus on other customer service improvements.”
Wilderness Resort, featuring four indoor and four outdoor waterparks, five restaurants, an award-winning golf course, and nature paths, has grown significantly. Guests previously faced connectivity issues due to the property’s scale and terrain. Spectrum Enterprise addressed this by installing 1,400 WiFi access points and increasing internet bandwidth to 10 Gbps, ensuring reliable WiFi access for up to 10,000 guests and staff. Spectrum Enterprise manages these WiFi access points with 24/7/365 support, allowing resort employees to focus on other priorities.
Rajat Mukherji, Vice President of Vertical Markets for Spectrum Enterprise, emphasized, “Seamless WiFi and diverse TV entertainment are essential for guest satisfaction and repeat business. Our solutions address current visitor needs and support future growth.”
Guests will also enjoy enhanced in-room entertainment with Spectrum Enterprise Fiber Connect Plus TV, offering over 120 high-definition channels in all hotel rooms, condos, and cabins. This service, delivered via a private and dedicated fiber connection, reduces maintenance costs for the resort.
