ZTE Corporation, a global leader in integrated ICT solutions, has collaborated with Pakistani operator PTCL to introduce the SHOQ TV Box, branded as the B866V2F Set-Top Box (STB) powered by Android TV. This advanced device aims to revolutionize TV viewing by enhancing news and entertainment offerings. It provides access to 200 live TV channels, including 60 in HD, and over 15,000 hours of on-demand content, promising a rich viewing experience.
The B866V2F features a state-of-the-art 4K IPTV/OTT STB with a powerful quad-core 64-bit chip for efficient video decoding and rapid instruction processing. It integrates seamlessly with Google’s ecosystem, offering popular apps like Google Assistant, YouTube, and Google Play.
The unveiling ceremony in Islamabad was attended by representatives from ZTE and PTCL. Hatem Bamatraf, President and Group CEO of PTCL & Ufone 4G, emphasized that SHOQ TV represents more than just a product launch; it signifies a new era of entertainment empowerment for customers, blending innovation, convenience, and immersive viewing experiences. He expressed gratitude to Google and ZTE for their collaboration, marking SHOQ TV as a significant milestone in transforming TV viewing in Pakistan.
Li Guowen, CEO of ZTE Pakistan, highlighted their longstanding partnership with PTCL Group spanning over 25 years. The introduction of the B866V2F STB powered by Android TV underscores ZTE’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technological solutions.
