Gold Zone Whip-Around Premieres on Peacock During Olympics Coverage

Scott Hanson, Andrew Siciliano, Matt Iseman, and Akbar Gbajabiamila have been announced as the hosts for the Gold Zone whip-around show during NBCUniversal’s coverage of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, marking its debut live stream on Peacock.

Running from July 27 to August 10, Gold Zone will be available on Peacock from 7 am to 5 pm ET daily. Molly Solomon, Executive Producer and President of NBC Olympics Production, unveiled this exciting addition to the Olympic coverage lineup.

With a staggering array of up to 40 events concurrently unfolding during the Paris Olympic Games, Gold Zone aims to curate and deliver the most captivating moments to viewers in real-time. This daily live show promises to immerse fans in the thrill, triumphs, and raw emotion of the Games, offering a comprehensive overview of the day’s events. Hosting this engaging presentation are Scott Hanson, renowned for his work on NFL RedZone, alongside Olympic veterans Andrew Siciliano, Matt Iseman, and Akbar Gbajabiamila, all seasoned in delivering high-energy sports coverage.

Scott Hanson, known for his stellar hosting on NFL RedZone, will kick off each day’s coverage on Peacock, marking his first assignment for the Olympics. Following Hanson, Andrew Siciliano, a stalwart in NFL Network and Red Zone Channel hosting, will take over Gold Zone hosting duties. Siciliano previously helmed NBC Sports’ Gold Zone coverage during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Joining Siciliano for the closing coverage of each day’s events are Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, co-hosts of American Ninja Warrior on NBC. Having already showcased their Olympic hosting skills during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, the duo brings a wealth of experience to Peacock’s Paris Olympics coverage.

Throughout the day, the hosts will be joined by special guests, enhancing the dynamic and insightful coverage of Gold Zone. NBCU will soon announce additional hosts and programming details for this exciting Olympic offering, which will also be accessible on and the NBC Sports app via “TV Everywhere.”
