I lately watched my son acclimate the Velcro patches on his Army livery as he got ready for duty. He saved the American flag for last. With great care, he pressed it onto his right shoulder and also stepped back, checking his work in the glass.
As a military partner for over two decades and now the mama of a Dogface, I ’ve witnessed firsthand the reverence service members have for the American flag — whether displaying it on their shoulder or conducting Reveille and Retreat. This National stagers and Military Families Month, we’re agitated to limelight Operation Old Glory, a unique action to insure the stars and stripes continue to fly bold and bright in the communities we serve, along with several other special programs and gests created for our military guests.

The American flag has numerous meanings. For some, it’s a memorial of a loved bone
who served in the service. For others, it symbolizes the inconceivable trip of emigrants pursuing their dreams in a new land.
Started by military stager workers at Comcast NBCUniversal, Operation Old Glory is our way of recognizing our nation’s topmost symbol and what it represents to people in our communities. Through this program, our devoted teammates work together to replace worn or damaged flags outside homes and businesses at no cost to the property possessors.
Any home or business is eligible for a free flag relief through this program, not just those that are subscribed to our services. We also insure that all worn flags are retired with respect and strict adherence to military protocols.
In the Season 14 homestretch of George to the Deliverance, raising onNov. 4 on NBC and streaming on Peacock, host George Oliphant and his crew patch the Montachusett stagers Outreach Center( MVOC) in Gardner,Mass.
The Comcast platoon also surprised the MVOC staff and residers during the filming, installing a Lift Zone, which offers free WiFi connectivity, and giving fifty laptops as part of Project UP, our$ 1 billion commitment to advance digital equity and help make a future of unlimited possibilities.

For decades, the MVOC has been a safe and empowering haven for floundering stagers. With this significant restoration, we hope the association can continue to give life- changing services to our nation’s icons for times to come.
Comcast invests in several associations concentrated on advancing digital equity for stagers and military communities through Project UP. This includes a cooperation with NPower to support programs designed to launch digital careers for active- duty service members approaching transition into mercenary life, stagers, and military consorts.
Military gests on Xfinity
Xfinity has curated a collection of pictures, television shows, and news specials in festivity of National stagers and Military Families Month. Available on X1, Flex, and Stream, the collection offers observers stories pressing the heroics and offerings ofU.S. service members and military families. The destination also features videotape content from our public nonprofit mates supporting stagers, military caregivers, and military kiddies.

Throughout November, the Comcast Newsmakers platform is shining a light on some of the most pivotal issues facing military community members, including stager and military partner business possessors and impaired stagers.
